immersive, experiential learning is core to what we do at ACP.

  • Equine Assisted Learning

A certified facilitator uses horses along with objective-based exercises in an experiential learning environment to teach students important life skills. Horses demand personal leadership and can teach humans how to apply skills to their daily lives. Through fundamental principles and form of delivery, the program helps students to gain the skills and self-esteem necessary to feel successful

  • Outdoor Classroom

We will be participating in the building of shelters in the woods and a yurt which will provide unique learning spaces. This type of structure is green and will support our teaching and learning with a focused commitment to the environment. Students will experience bringing nature to the classroom through the use of natural light and burning wood as a sustainable heat source. They will participate in creating a garden and learning how to prepare the food they helped to plant.

  • Outdoor Adventure

The natural world is a place where creativity and imagination can soar. Being outside activates the senses where students can see, hear, smell and touch. Students will participate in activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, fishing and playing games.
